Our vision
A low-stimulus park
for everyone
Spelen bij Beelen is a low-stimulus park with room for the play of the old days: climbing, scrambling, running, building, discovering and having fun together. A place where children do not watch, but take part. Where they decide for themselves what they play and how they play.
No electric rides
No flashing lights, loud noises or machines taking over the play. Children create the adventure themselves, with their imagination, curiosity and energy.
Equality in food & drinks
Healthy food is part of a good start. We keep prices affordable and make sure every child can choose something, so every family can enjoy a day out.
A clean environment
On their first visit every child receives a cup to take home. In the park you fill it at the free water points. We limit packaging and choose reusable solutions wherever possible.

Spelen bij Beelen opened in the summer of 2026 with 35,000 m² of play space. And we are far from finished. Every day, work goes on across the grounds on the next phases of our park.
Our dream? To build the finest park in Rotterdam: a place where families can play, discover and grow together in a low-stimulus setting. You can visit us six days a week, and during the school holidays even seven.
There is already plenty to enjoy: the playground and big sandpit, Verkeersstad Harvey, Frenky’s pedal cars, the roller skating rink and trampolines. Next to Verkeersstad Harvey there is also a small traffic park for children aged 0 to 4.
The big sandpit and the roller skating rink are covered, so you can play there when the weather is not so good as well. In mid-October 2026 Frenky World opens: 500 m² of indoor play space above the sandpit.

Frenky World
In mid-October Frenky World opens: a 500 m² indoor play world above the sandpit. Children can climb, scramble and discover there.
After that we carry on building the second outdoor area, which is planned for March 2027. The plans include a play greenhouse, a play farm, an extra play square and a highline. The park will then grow to around 70,000 m².

Tickets
How can I buy tickets?
You can easily buy tickets for Spelen bij Beelen through our website.
Can I also buy a ticket on site?
Yes! You can also buy a ticket at the Spelen bij Beelen box office.
What are the opening hours?
Spelen bij Beelen is open Tuesday to Saturday from 11:00 to 18:00 and on Sunday from 13:00 to 18:00. We are closed on Monday.
Can I cancel or change my ticket?
Tickets are not refunded after purchase and cannot be cancelled. You can change the date of your ticket, though, so you can come on another day.

What is ZUIDYARD?
ZUIDYARD (Rotterdam’s Waterfront Experience) is a special waterside destination in Rotterdam, where activities, attractions and places to eat and drink come together. Visit the Ark van Noach, for example, go climbing at Gigi’s Klim World, take a ride in the Beelen Eye, enjoy good food at PIER40 or discover Rotterdam from the water with ZUIDYARD Cruise. See zuidyard.com for more information.
Are other attractions included with Spelen bij Beelen?
No. You book a separate ticket for the Beelen Eye, Gigi’s Klim World and the Ark van Noach. The ticket shop shows the available dates and any combinations for each attraction.
How do I get to Spelen bij Beelen and ZUIDYARD?
ZUIDYARD is easy to reach by car, bike, public transport and water taxi. Coming by water taxi? Walk from the quay to the entrance of Spelen bij Beelen. Address: Doklaan 40, 3081 AD Rotterdam.
Can I park at Spelen bij Beelen and ZUIDYARD?
Yes! There are more than enough parking spaces on our own grounds. Parking costs € 4 per hour or € 22 for a day ticket. Just dropping someone off or picking them up? The first 15 minutes of parking are free.

Is Spelen bij Beelen suitable for children of all ages?
Spelen bij Beelen is designed especially for families with children aged 0 to 12. There are different activities for different ages. Older children are of course very welcome too!
Is Spelen bij Beelen accessible for people with disabilities?
Yes, Spelen bij Beelen is accessible for people with disabilities. Please bear in mind that not every play activity is accessible or suitable for everyone.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
No, bringing your own food and drinks is not permitted at Spelen bij Beelen or the other attractions on ZUIDYARD. Do you need your own food or drinks for medical reasons or specific needs? Then of course we will make an exception.
Annual pass
When can I buy an annual pass?
The annual pass goes on sale on 20 October 2026. You buy it online and collect your personal pass at the Spelen bij Beelen desk, where we take your photo and print the pass.
Is there a family pass?
No, the annual pass is per person. Every family member needs their own pass. The pass is valid for one year from the day of purchase.
Do I need to book with an annual pass?
No, you do not. Without a booking there is usually room, but it is not guaranteed: when we are full, we are full. If you want to be sure of entry, book in advance. Your annual pass also gives you access to the Ark van Noach.
Groups & parties
Are large groups welcome?
Yes! Large groups are very welcome at Spelen bij Beelen. You simply order tickets for group visits through our website. The same goes for school trips, after-school clubs and foundations.
Can I celebrate my birthday with you?
We only offer a birthday package at Gigi’s Klim World, next to Spelen bij Beelen on ZUIDYARD. See gigisklimworld.nl for the options. Spelen bij Beelen itself has no birthday package, but you and your group are of course always welcome to come and play.
Indoors & outdoors
What can I do in bad weather?
The big sandpit and the roller skating rink are covered, so you can play there in the dry even when it rains. Frenky World, the new indoor play world above the sandpit, is expected to open in mid-October 2026.
