What we do at Larendael
Larendael invests in projects and ideas that are sustainable, innovative and challenging. Creation and passion are in our DNA: we like to build something from the ground up and we have the commitment and the creative entrepreneurship to actually make it happen. We deliver striking transformations in land development and introduce innovative concepts in fields including tech, logistics and yacht building. It is no coincidence that our projects are mostly on the water. A waterside location opens up enormous possibilities.
How our mission and vision came about
At the start of a project we focus on the bigger picture: thinking in concepts, taking every variable into account and getting stakeholders excited. Spelen bij Beelen grew out of that approach. When the former Rivoli site on the Doklaan in Rotterdam-Zuid came into Larendael’s hands, Wim Beelen immediately saw the potential: a place on the water where children can play, families come together and the neighbourhood comes back to life. We are now building that dream step by step into Rotterdam’s play harbour.
Our goals
We work in a future-proof and scalable way: we invest in structural solutions that last for years and always look for opportunities to grow. Thanks to a healthy financial base, a compact team and solid market knowledge, we keep decisions quick, however large the project. Working with passion inspires us every day to create a better future for coming generations.
